Trump: Talks between Israel and Lebanon to be held Thursday

U.S. President Donald Trump said that talks between Israel and Lebanon will be held on Thursday in a step aimed at easing tensions between the two sides.

Trump added that the Israeli and Lebanese leaders will hold direct discussions, noting that “it has been a long time since the two leaders spoke—about 34 years—and that will happen tomorrow.”

He further stated that the United States is “trying to create space for breathing between Israel and Lebanon.”
