Under royal directives, Jordan on Thursday dispatched a new humanitarian aid convoy to Lebanon as part of its ongoing response to the humanitarian situation in the sister republic.
The convoy consists of 15 trucks carrying food supplies, medicines, and relief materials, according to Secretary-General of the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, Dr. Hussein Al-Shibli.
Al-Shibli stated that this convoy reaffirms the Kingdom’s consistent humanitarian role in supporting sister countries during times of crisis. The effort is carried out by the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization in cooperation with the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army, and in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
He emphasized that the Jordanian initiative comes as part of an urgent humanitarian duty that cannot be delayed, stressing that this effort is not temporary but represents an ongoing commitment that will continue as long as the need persists.
He added that this step builds on Jordan’s continued support for the Lebanese people, which previously included relief aid shipments, most recently a convoy in March consisting of 25 trucks, sent under royal directives to support Lebanon amid difficult conditions.
