According to U.S. officials, the next round of talks could take place on Thursday, while discussions over the arrangements are still ongoing.

Officials indicated that Geneva is among the potential venues to host the negotiations, alongside Islamabad, though the final location has not yet been confirmed.

Earlier, Bloomberg reported that discussions are underway between the United States and Iran to organize a new round of direct negotiations aimed at reaching a long-term ceasefire.

The report added that efforts are focused on holding the next round before the current ceasefire period expires, with Islamabad among the proposed locations.

In this context, U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance stated that “the ball is in Tehran’s court” regarding the resumption of talks, noting that the coming days will be decisive in determining whether a comprehensive agreement can be reached.

In an interview with Fox News, Vance said that Washington has made progress in the negotiations, but the process remains incomplete. He stressed that any agreement would be conditional on Iran abandoning its nuclear program and ending support for terrorism.

He also emphasized that fully reopening the Strait of Hormuz is a key condition, warning that any Iranian backtracking would be met with an “immediate and decisive” response from the United States.
