Data released by the U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) showed that the U.S. military has so far spent more than $47 billion to conduct the war in Iran, marking an increase of more than 25% compared with the department’s estimate in July.

The largest share of the war’s operational costs was allocated to replacing spent munitions, totaling more than $29 billion, in addition to over $6 billion for replacing military equipment.
The figures did not clearly indicate whether they include the cost of repairing damage to U.S. military bases caused by Iranian missile and drone attacks.
