Data released by the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) showed that the US military has spent more than $47 billion so far on the war in Iran, an increase of over 25% compared with the department's estimate in July.

The largest share of the war's operational costs was allocated to replenishing ammunition used during the conflict, totaling more than $29 billion, in addition to over $6 billion for replacing military equipment.
The figures did not clearly indicate whether they included the cost of repairing damage to US military bases caused by Iranian missile and drone attacks.
