Woman Dies, Two Children Injured in House Fire in Aqaba

A woman died and her two children were injured on Sunday after suffering from smoke inhalation caused by a fire that broke out in a house in the Al-Shalalah area of Aqaba Governorate, according to the Public Security Directorate’s spokesperson.

The spokesperson said that Aqaba Civil Defense firefighting and ambulance teams responded promptly to the incident.

Firefighters succeeded in extinguishing the blaze and bringing it under control, while paramedics evacuated the deceased woman and transported the two injured children to hospital, where they remain under medical treatment.

The spokesperson added that an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire.
