Washington Designates Jordan’s "Muslim Brotherhood" as a Terrorist Group.. Here is Why!
As part of its new counter-terrorism strategy, the administration of President Donald Trump has announced the designation of the Muslim Brotherhood branch in Jordan as a "Specially Designated Terrorist Group." According to an official document released by the White House, the decision was justified by allegations of providing support to the Hamas movement.اضافة اعلان

The strategy linked the Muslim Brotherhood to Al-Qaeda and ISIS, asserting that the group represents the "root from which modern Islamic terrorism branched out," and that contemporary jihadist groups trace their ideological origins back to it.

The document emphasized that the Trump administration intends to maintain pressure on what it described as the "Global Jihadist Movement." It further noted that the designation of certain branches of the group would be followed by similar measures against other branches across the Middle East and beyond.

These directives were part of a strategy drafted by the Senior Director for Counter-terrorism at the U.S. National Security Council, who had previously called for designating the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization, considering "Global Jihadism" to be the most prominent threat to the United States.

Furthermore, the strategy maintained that threats emanating from the Middle East—including Iranian-backed groups and armed Islamist organizations—continue to pose a direct risk to American interests, confirming that Washington will persist in taking security, military, and intelligence measures against what it classifies as terrorist threats.
