The Minister of Government Communication and official spokesperson for the government, Mohammad Al-Momani, stated that Jordan continues its humanitarian role toward Syrian refugees within a policy of voluntary return consistent with international law. He noted that this continues despite challenges and increasing burdens, as part of supporting stability and providing assistance to those in need.

He added that more than 192,000 Syrian refugees registered with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) have voluntarily returned to Syria from the fall of the previous regime until today.
During his meeting with the UNHCR Representative to Jordan, Maria Stavropoulou, Al-Momani reaffirmed the importance of the existing partnership and continued coordination, particularly regarding media and communication efforts.
Al-Momani emphasized that Jordan, under its Hashemite leadership, will remain a model of commitment to its humanitarian duty toward regional causes and refugees, in a manner that preserves their dignity and ensures them a safe and decent life.
