The weather will be relatively hot in the hilly areas, plains and the Badia region. Temperatures will be scorching in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, with clouds at medium and high altitudes and northwesterly moderate to brisk winds.

The JMD warned people against direct sunlight exposure during peak hours from noon to 3pm, and of low visibility caused by dust-laden winds in the Badia.

The heatwave will intensify on Wednesday and Thursday, with mercury levels climbing up to 5°C-6°C degrees above their annual average, bringing torrid weather conditions in most regions. While the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba are set to swelter in blistering weather with temperatures soring at 42°C.

However, the weather department indicated that the impact of the sizzling weather conditions will start to ease off by Friday.

Today, the maximum and minimum temperatures in Amman will range between 36°C during the day and 27°C at night. While the Gulf of Aqaba will see a searing 42°C during the day, dropping to 30°C at night.
