In a press statement released on Monday, the SSC highlighted that the voluntary subscription option has proven highly beneficial for a substantial number of subscribers who had previously subscribed, enabling them to receive pension salaries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra reported.

This program not only offers retirement benefits but also provides social protection in the event of disability or natural death. Over 56,000 Jordanians have already availed a retirement pension under the SSC insurance umbrella through this service.

Open to all Jordanians, residing within the Kingdom or abroad
The SSC emphasized that voluntary subscription is open to all Jordanians, whether residing within the Kingdom or abroad, provided they are between the ages of 16 and 55 for females and 60 for males. This inclusivity ensures that a wide range of individuals can participate and benefit from the program.

Additionally, the SSC outlined the contribution rate for voluntarily-subscribed individuals, which stands at 17.5 percent per month of the deductible wage. This contribution covers various insurance allowances, including old-age, disability, and death benefits.

As of now, the program boasts an impressive figure of approximately 93,000 active subscribers who have willingly enrolled in the voluntary subscription scheme.
