Spokesperson Omar Al-Muharameh explained that the new expansion covers a total area of 5,154 square meters, including a modern building housing outpatient clinics, a blood bank, laboratories, radiology department, storage rooms, and administrative offices. The project’s total cost amounts to JD 3.75 million, funded through the Ma’an Governorate Council allocations.

The two-story building comprises a ground floor and a mezzanine with a combined area of 4,996 square meters, including stairwells, canopies, and architectural protrusions of 269 square meters. The project also includes auxiliary service buildings for electrical generators, transformers, medical gas rooms, and external works such as pavements, fences, and parking areas.

The outpatient building will feature general and specialized clinics covering cardiology, orthopedics, psychiatry, pediatrics, gynecology, surgery, ophthalmology, dermatology, ENT, internal medicine, and urology. It will also host laboratories, a regional blood bank, advanced radiology rooms, storage areas, administrative offices, restrooms, a lecture hall, and a computer lab.

Designed according to international healthcare standards, the building aims to provide integrated diagnostic and therapeutic services under one roof, improving service quality for citizens. The hospital director, Dr. Walid Al-Rawad, highlighted that the facility will reduce patient waiting times and increase capacity, accommodating around 7,400 monthly visitors, or approximately 90,000 annually, with 30 clinics compared to 6 previously.

The building will operate an electronic queuing system for appointments, enabling faster access to services. Preparations are underway to equip the facility with medical devices, with JD 1.2 million allocated by the Ministry of Health. The project is part of a broader initiative to enhance healthcare infrastructure and services across Jordan, in line with the royal vision for the health sector.
