The project is estimated to cost approximately JOD 5.9 million, funded by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, with a completion period of 300 working days.
The project covers several vital roads in the Central Region that have experienced technical deterioration due to high traffic loads and rapid urban development. The scope of work includes:
Comprehensive maintenance using asphalt mixes.
Milling (scraping) of damaged layers and rehabilitation.
Patching and surface treatments.
Road marking (painting), installation of reflectors, and curbing.
Maintenance of concrete bridges and the Al-Hashimiya culvert.

Actual work is set to begin on the Muwaqqar–Azraq Road, specifically the section extending from the Al-Faisaliah traffic light to the King Abdullah II Training City, with the remaining sites to be completed according to the approved schedule.
The Ministry emphasized that the project will be executed without road closures. Instead, a partial traffic detour system will be utilized, diverting traffic to one lane while work is conducted on the other, ensuring continuous traffic flow and minimizing the impact on commuters.
The Ministry also noted that these detours will be equipped with all necessary safety elements according to the highest standards, stressing that public safety requires the cooperation of drivers and their adherence to the instructions of field teams and the Public Security Directorate.
