The Public Security Directorate, through the Residency and Borders Department, has called on citizens to report the arrival or departure of any foreign national in their residence within 48 hours of their arrival or departure. This is to avoid the mandatory fine of 200 Jordanian dinars, according to recent amendments to the Residency and Foreigners Affairs Law.اضافة اعلان

In a statement on Saturday, the directorate emphasized that Article 14 of Residency and Foreigners Affairs Law No. 24 of 1973 requires hotel and lodging managers, as well as anyone hosting, renting, or accommodating foreigners, to notify the Residency and Borders Department, one of its branches, or the local police station with the foreigner’s name and address within 48 hours of arrival or departure.

The directorate stressed that complying with this requirement reflects awareness and responsibility, supports the enforcement of the law, and helps maintain community security, noting: “Initiating the report protects you; compliance is a responsibility.”
