AMMAN — The General Security Directorate has reported that over 15,000 traffic violations have been recorded under the category of "Driving against the flow of traffic on a street with a median strip" since the beginning of the year. It has pointed out that this particular violation is deemed extremely serious, posing a substantial risk of fatality to both the driver and others. اضافة اعلان

Penalties for this violation range from impounding the vehicle for a minimum of 24 hours and up to 30 days, to imprisonment for a duration of no less than one month and no more than three months. Alternatively, a fine of no less than JD250 and no more than JD500 may be imposed, or a combination of both penalties. Additionally, the offender's license will be suspended for a period of two months, Alsaa reported.
