During the first year of the government of Jafar Hassan, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education completed numerous educational and developmental projects, including building new schools, upgrading educational facilities, and improving services across governorates.

According to government data covering the period from September 2024 to September 2025, the Ministry:
Established 28 new schools in various regions.
Added 42 classroom extensions to expand the capacity of existing schools.
Conducted maintenance in 1,264 schools and field surveys in 3,442 schools nationwide.
In a step toward modernizing education, the Ministry prepared 1,079 electronic labs for Tawjihi exams. It also enrolled 135,000 children in kindergartens, emphasizing early childhood education.
The Ministry accommodated 30,000 students with disabilities and provided transportation alternatives for 2,176 students. Additionally, three inclusive centers for students with special needs were established to support social and educational integration.
Several initiatives supported teachers, including:
Allocating land for teacher housing.
Increasing university scholarships for teachers’ children.
Raising the number of teachers participating in official Hajj missions.
Allocating 1,039 plots of land for teacher housing at less than 50% of market value, with plans for further allocations.
Establishing teachers’ clubs in Jerash and Madaba governorates.
Regarding human resources development:
3,995 teachers graduated from pre-service diploma programs.
2,332 new teacher candidates were appointed.
11,213 teachers benefited from emergency financial advances totaling over JD 12.6 million.
2,415 children of teachers received university scholarships and loans worth about JD 3.28 million.
An additional JD 4.5 million was allocated to support the Education Guarantee Fund.
The Ministry also implemented 2,013 awareness and professional events, reaching 157,716 participants, and trained 66,832 staff members through programs aimed at improving educational performance and skills.
Jordan achieved regional recognition when one of its projects won the Arab Government Excellence Award as the “Best Government Project” in the category of inclusion and diversity.
Vocational and technical education expanded significantly in 331 schools, adding 12 new specialties to enhance students’ technical and professional skills.
On the legislative front, the Ministry approved 20 new regulations and instructions covering exams, cultural centers, and school sports. Additionally, foreign and international programs were adopted in 62 private schools to improve education quality and broaden students’ opportunities.
