According to a press release by the foundation, the forum will run from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, welcoming visitors of all ages for free, offering an opportunity to participate in an interactive experience on a national platform that brings together innovators, entrepreneurs, designers, students, hobbyists, and enthusiasts in the fields of innovation and digital manufacturing to exchange expertise, build partnerships, and stimulate creativity. The aim is to empower the makers’ community, innovators, and supporting institutions across various sectors.
The forum will feature a large exhibition with over 114 exhibitors, including innovators, startups, and academic institutions showcasing their projects and innovative products. In addition, there will be six free hands-on workshops covering design, digital manufacturing, modern technologies, 3D printing, and handicrafts, as well as interactive activities open to all ages. Among these is the “Elevator of Ideas”, where visitors can present their ideas, projects, and initiatives in one minute, encouraging creative participation and providing opportunities for outstanding ideas to receive mentorship and development support through the foundation’s programs.
Visitors will also get hands-on experience with digital manufacturing tools, including 3D printers, CNC machines, and laser cutters, learning how these tools are used to develop prototypes and innovative products.
The forum will introduce the “Makers Map”, Jordan’s first national digital platform, serving as a comprehensive interactive guide connecting makerspaces, universities, business incubators, and creative communities. This platform enhances collaboration between stakeholders in the innovation sector and facilitates access to tools, expertise, and joint programs across the Kingdom.
A series of knowledge and discussion sessions will also be held at the Hussein Cultural Center – Aql Beltagi Theater, open to all attendees for free. Topics will cover the wide spectrum of innovation in Jordan and globally, including: the role of technology and digital manufacturing in designing specialized medical treatments, reshaping the fashion industry through technology and sustainability, the impact of 3D printing on innovation, jewelry manufacturing with digital technologies, investment in tangible products, building global companies, localizing engineering expertise in the automotive and other industries in Jordan and the Arab world, and the future of drone technology.
The forum will host international speaker Daniel Ingrassia, founder of In-Machines, sharing his extensive experience in designing and building open-source digital manufacturing machines used today in innovation labs and makers’ communities worldwide.
Other sessions will highlight inspiring entrepreneurial experiences from innovators and startups working in creative, innovative, and high-tech fields. All sessions will be live-streamed on the Crown Prince Foundation’s Facebook and YouTube platforms.
Participants will also benefit from the “Experts Corner”, offering short, free one-on-one mentorship sessions with more than 16 experts in innovation and entrepreneurship, sharing practical guidance and experiences. (Al-Mamlaka)
