MPs agree to imprison anyone who publishes drawing, symbol that insults religion

AMMAN — The Lower House on Monday approved an amendment to the Penal Code that punishes, with imprisonment for between four months and two years and a fine not exceeding JD500, whoever publishes something printed, a manuscript, picture, drawing or symbol that leads to insulting the religious feelings of other people and their religious belief, or who utters a word in a public place over the ears of another person that may lead to insulting the religious feeling or belief of that other person, according to Al-Ghad News. اضافة اعلان
