Lower House speaker, UAE foreign minister talk ties

AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Abdul Karim Doghmi discussed on Monday with UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan Jordanian-UAE relations and means of enhancing cooperation in many fields.اضافة اعلان

During a meeting at Expo 2020 Dubai, Doghmi conveyed His Majesty King Abdullah’s greetings to the UAE leadership and people, stressing the “historical, strong and deep-rooted relations” between the two nations.

Doghmi reaffirmed that Jordan condemns any acts that target the security of the UAE, underscoring the Kingdom’s absolute solidarity with the Gulf Arab country, according to a Lower House statement.

Doghmi added that Jordan looks forward to benefiting from the Emirati expertise as a model of development, he said, lauding the deep-rooted Jordanian-UAE relations and noting that about 350,000 Jordanians work in the UAE.

For his part, the UAE minister underlined the “brotherly” relations between the two countries, expressing pride in Jordanians who contributed to building his country.

“Historical ties between Jordan and the UAE are continuously progressing with constant coordination on multiple mutual issues”, he said.
