Law enforcement seizes 300,000 pills at border crossing

AMMAN — Anti-narcotics seized 300,000 illegal pills in an alleged smuggling attempt at a border crossing on Wednesday.   The Public Security Directorate’s spokesperson said that Anti-Narcotics Department personnel and Jordanian customs and security officers found the drugs while inspecting a cargo truck coming into Jordan.   The truck was searched and 300,000 pills were found hidden in a secret compartment in the truck, which was filled with fruits and vegetables.
