As a result, a technical forfeit has been recorded, awarding Israel a 20-0 victory—its second win in the tournament after two games.

In response, the Israeli Basketball Federation issued a statement saying that the Israeli team "will continue to represent the country with professionalism and respect for all opponents, regardless of who they are."

Commenting on Jordan’s decision, Israeli Basketball Federation President Amos Frishman said:
"On behalf of the Basketball Federation, I regret the Jordanian team's decision. I had hoped they would participate in the match to demonstrate that things can be different—especially in these times. I believe that sports should be a bridge between peoples and cultures, not a political battleground. I hope future matches will proceed without any doubt or hesitation."
