The Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA), in cooperation with the Royal Department for Environmental Protection, has seized a quantity of unlicensed and unidentified medical supplies and pharmaceuticals during inspection tours. The items, some of which were counterfeit or smuggled, were found inside a commercial office in the capital, Amman.

JFDA Director General Dr. Nizar Mhaidat stated in a press release on Monday evening that the seized items included injectable materials and medical supplies used in cosmetic procedures, which were intended for distribution to certain beauty centers and clinics.
He added that the confiscated items also included smuggled slimming injections, as well as vitamins and dietary supplements.
The JFDA confirmed that the seized products have been impounded, and legal procedures have been initiated against the violators.
