AND seizes 150,000 pills in drug raid

AMMAN — Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) agents on Saturday said that they had thwarted an attempt to allegedly smuggle 150,000 pills outside the Kingdom and that two suspects were in custody.اضافة اعلان

The media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said that AND was tipped off that three people were allegedly storing a "large" amount of narcotics inside secret compartments in a cargo vehicle.

By following up on tips, AND personnel identified the suspects involved in the operation and the location of the vehicle in the capital, the spokesperson added.

In the raid, AND found 150,000 pills and arrested the suspects, and an investigation is currently underway into the incident, the official said.
