AMMAN - Jordan's Anti-Narcotics Department (
AND) personnel arrested a drug dealer and seized large quantities of narcotics and firearms, during a "qualitative" operation in the southern Badia region.

In a statement on Thursday, media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said AND agents, with PSD units' support, continued their "qualitative" operations to crack down on drug trafficking.
The joint force raided a drug dealer in the southern Badia region this morning in a new qualitative operation, who was arrested in possession of large quantities of narcotic pills and two automatic weapons, the spokesperson added.
An AND investigative team followed up tipoffs regarding a drug dealer, who stores of large quantities of narcotic pills inside his house, the official noted.
By searching the suspect's home, 600,000 narcotic pills were found , in addition to two automatic firearms, and an investigation was launched into the case, the PSD said.
