His Majesty King Abdullah II, accompanied by Crown Prince Hussein, met today with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.
The meeting focused on the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, including the Israeli aggression on Qatar. Both leaders condemned the attack and emphasized the importance of standing by Qatar, taking practical measures against Israel, and coordinating within the Arab and Islamic framework to prevent recurrence.

The discussions also covered strengthening the fraternal relations between Jordan and Palestine and exploring ways to develop cooperation across all fields.
President Abbas expressed his deep appreciation for Jordan’s pivotal role, under King Abdullah II, in addressing the ongoing Israeli aggression against Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, including Jerusalem, facilitating humanitarian aid, and preventing displacement.
Additionally, the meeting addressed preparations for the upcoming high-level international conference on the Palestinian issue and the two-state solution, scheduled for September 22 in New York, co-sponsored by Saudi Arabia and France.
Both sides reaffirmed continued coordination to support the Palestinian position in ending the occupation under international law, securing broader recognition of the State of Palestine, and achieving full membership in the United Nations.
Attendees included Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi, Director of the Royal Court Alaa Al-Bataineh, Palestinian President’s International Relations Director Ziad Abu Amro, Presidential Diplomatic Advisor Majdi Al-Khaldi, and Palestinian Ambassador to Jordan Attallah Khairy.
