Jordan records 11 deaths, 396 new cases Saturday

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Saturday reached 11, while a total of 396 new cases were recorded in Jordan, bringing the death toll to 10,116 and the caseload to 776,178. اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Saturday’s tally, the Ministry of Health stated that Amman recorded 209 cases, while Zarqa recorded 59 cases.

Irbid registered 37 cases, while Balqa recorded 17 cases.

Karak recorded 5, Jerash recorded 13 cases, and Tafileh recorded 9.

Madaba registered 1 case, Aqaba 14, and Ajloun 2.

Mafraq registered 10 new cases, while Maan recorded 13 cases on Saturday.

Ramtha recorded 0 cases and Petra recorded 7.

The ministry added in a statement that some 43 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 103 were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 12,256, according to the Ministry of Health.

Around 3.59 percent of the 11,043 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
