Jordan records 5 deaths, 531 new cases Thursday

The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Friday reached 5, while a total of 531 new cases were recorded in Jordan, bringing the death toll to 10,105 and the caseload to 775,782.اضافة اعلان


Breaking down Friday’s tally, the Ministry of Health stated that Amman recorded 198 cases, while Zarqa recorded 94 cases.

Irbid registered 66 cases, while Balqa recorded 46 cases.

Karak recorded 13 cases, Jerash recorded 10 cases, while Tafileh recorded 13.

Madaba registered 14 cases, Aqaba 9, and Ajloun 23.

Mafraq registered 23 new cases, while Maan recorded 8 cases on Friday.

Petra recorded 5 cases.

The ministry added in a statement that some 91 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 82 were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 12,345, according to the Ministry of Health.

Around 3.28 percent of the 16,189 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
