Jordan records 1,530 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Tuesday reached 30, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 1,530 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Tuesday, bringing the death toll to 8,955 and the caseload to 715,703.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Tuesday’s tally, the ministry said:

549 in Amman
194 in Irbid
203 in Zarqa
83 in Mafraq
67 in Ma'an
121 in Balqa
42 in Jerash
36 in Madaba
45 in Tafilah
84 in Aqaba
45 in Ajloun
61 in Karak

The ministry added in a statement that some 3,209 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 140 others were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 12,321, according to the ministry’s statement.

Around 7.78 percent of the 19,676 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
