Jordan marks 8,144 new cases positivity rate of 19.04%

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 8,144 new COVID-19 cases and 20 new deaths on Wednesday, bringing the total death toll to 13,751 and the total number of cases to 1,599,422.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 3,353 cases, while Zarqa recorded 693 cases. Irbid registered 1,094 cases, Balqa 695 cases, Karak recorded 523 cases, Jerash recorded 266 cases, and Tafileh recorded 195 cases. Madaba registered 278 cases, Aqaba 237, Ramtha 143, and Ajloun 152.

The ministry said in a statement that 169 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 154 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 140,468 according to the ministry. Out of 42,779 COVID-19 tests conducted Wednesday, 19.04 percent of them came back positive.
