Jordan records 18 new deaths

AMMAN (JNews) — Jordan recorded 9,117 new COVID-19 cases and 18 new deaths on Tuesday, bringing the total death toll to 13,731 and the total number of cases to 1,591,278.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 3,925 cases, while Zarqa recorded 949 cases. Irbid registered 1,173 cases, Balqa 667 cases, Karak recorded 394 cases, Jerash recorded 313 cases, and Tafileh recorded 219 cases. Madaba registered 330 cases, Aqaba 160, Ramtha 208, and Ajloun 178.

The ministry said in a statement that 194 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 162 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 145,399 according to the ministry. Out of 42,117 COVID-19 tests conducted Tuesday, 21.65 percent of them came back positive.
