Jordan condemns allowing extremists to storm Al-Aqsa Mosque

AMMAN — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned, on Thursday, allowing extremists to storm the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque / Al-Haram Al-Sharif under the protection of the Israeli police.اضافة اعلان

The spokesman for the ministry, Ambassador Haitham Abu Al-Ful, confirmed that the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque / Al-Haram Al-Sharif, with its entire area of 144 dunums, is a place of worship exclusively for Muslims. 

The Department of Awqaf organizes the visit of non-Muslims to Al-Aqsa Mosque / Al-Haram Al-Sharif, which is affiliated with the Jordanian Ministry of Awqaf, As the legal authority with exclusive jurisdiction to manage all the affairs of the Haram and to regulate entry to it.

Abu Al-Ful called on Israel, as the occupying power, to stop all practices and violations against the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque / Al-Haram Al-Sharif, respect its sanctity, stop all measures aimed at changing the historical and legal status quo, and respect the authority of the Jerusalem Awqaf Administration.
