The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) has begun implementing the “Livelihoods and Sustainable Development / Arzaq” project, with support from United Hands Relief, as part of a six-month partnership aimed at enhancing economic empowerment and improving livelihoods for the most vulnerable groups through sustainable development programs focused on capacity building and self-reliance.اضافة اعلان

The project targets the training and empowerment of 100 women—50 in cooking and 50 in sewing—through hands-on vocational training programs that focus on skills development, increasing productive efficiency, and linking knowledge with practical application. This approach enables beneficiaries to enter the labor market or launch small, income-generating productive projects.

The “Arzaq” project falls within the social protection framework adopted by the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, transitioning from short-term humanitarian relief to sustainable development interventions centered on investing in people, equipping them with tools of production, and strengthening their ability to secure a dignified income for their families. This contributes to enhancing social stability, improving living standards, and reducing reliance on aid.

The organization emphasized that the project underscores the importance of effective partnerships with supporting entities, such as its collaboration with United Hands Relief, given their pivotal role in supporting development programs that create real and lasting impact and help build communities that are more resilient and capable of growth.
