In a statement to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), Khreisat said that an operations room has been set up at the governorate building to receive complaints and reports related to gunfire or celebratory parades that disrupt traffic flow.
He explained that any individual caught firing a weapon or hanging out of a car window will be referred to the public prosecutor for legal action.
The governor also noted full coordination with the Jerash Police Directorate to monitor and respond to illegal parades and those causing traffic disruptions or violating the law by discharging firearms, confirming that strict administrative actions will be taken.
Khreisat called on the families of successful students to celebrate in a lawful and civil manner that does not endanger others or block roads, urging them to avoid gunfire or forming disruptive convoys.
He added that a comprehensive traffic plan has been prepared to prevent congestion and address violations, including the deployment of plainclothes traffic officers to monitor illegal behavior.
The governor emphasized that authorities will track the sources of gunfire, and special phone numbers will be made available for reporting incidents. He assured that all reports will be handled with complete confidentiality and prompt response.
