JMC shuts down websites for violating licensing terms

AMMAN — The Jordan Media Commission (JMC) said on Monday that it had closed a number of websites for violating licensing terms that are a part of the Press and Publication Law No. 8 of 1998 and its amendments, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. A statement issued by the JMC on Monday said that the commission carried out inspections at several publishing and printing houses, to ensure their compliance with the licensing requirements and legislation regulating their work.
