Inspection of manufacturing locationsDuring inspections of manufacturing locations, laboratory testing of materials is conducted to ensure the safety of the products.

Social media monitoringAbu Hussein stated that a committee was formed within the institution last year to monitor what is being promoted on social media pages, whether licensed or unlicensed.

During the current year, the institution received 186 complaints related to products advertised on social media, and most of them were dealt with and pages were closed.

ComplaintsRegarding the types of violations, Abu Hussein said that most complaints are related to unlicensed products, products that have entered through illegal channels, or local products that are produced under unsuitable conditions, whether in homes or unlicensed factories.

The institution has a complaints department that can handle complaints received through text messages.

Violators are referred to the judiciary and pages are closed through criminal investigation. In case a person is affected by the use of these products, they should seek legal action.
