Irbid Civil Defense puts out fire on 50 dunums in Jdita village

AMMAN — Irbid Civil Defense personnel extinguished a fire that had engulfed a 50-dunum area of land and part of a forest in Jdita village, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.اضافة اعلان

Bassam Al-Faqih, director of the Kourah Forestry Department, said several olive trees belonging to a farmer and dry forest herbs were damaged by the fire.

He said no injuries were reported.

The security services opened an investigation into the cause of the fire, to determine whether it was arson, adding that a comprehensive survey will be conducted to determine the losses.
