The draft law includes amendments aimed at simplifying and digitizing real estate procedures, and expediting sale, subdivision, and joint-ownership resolution transactions, thereby reducing time, effort, and costs for citizens.

The project also contributes to stimulating investment and boosting confidence in the real estate market by allowing off-plan sales and subdivision, regulating non-Jordanian ownership within specific guidelines, and providing periodic data and indicators on market conditions.

Additionally, it obligates expropriating entities to pay expropriation compensation within a maximum period of five years, and enhances oversight, transparency, and governance, thereby supporting the objectives of the Economic Modernization Vision.

The draft law was formulated after listening to the views and feedback of citizens, investors, and relevant authorities, in line with the government's approach of consultation before enacting legislation.
