Civil society organizations protest constitutional amendments

AMMAN — A group of civil society organizations organized a sit-in in front of the parliament building, on Monday morning, to reject the constitutional amendments approved by the Legal Committee on Sunday. اضافة اعلان

The protestors claimed that replacing the word "Jordanians", which includes men and women, in the constitution and inserting the term "Jordanian women" will create a legal loophole, and that these amendments will create space for discrimination between Jordanians based on gender.
