Cabinet decides to hold provincial, municipal, GAM council elections

AMMAN — The Cabinet, during a session chaired by Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh on Wednesday decided to hold provincial and municipal council elections, in accordance with the provisions of Article 35 of the Local Administration Law No. 22 of 2021.اضافة اعلان

The Cabinet also decided to hold the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) council elections in accordance with the provisions of Article 6 of the GAM Law No. 18 of 2021.

The prime minister sent a letter to this effect to the Independent Election Commission to take the necessary measures to move forward with the elections, in accordance with the provisions of the two related laws, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
