Jordan will chair the 52nd session of the Arab Labor Conference, organized by the Arab Labor Organization in Cairo from September 13 to 20, 2026, with the participation of representatives of the three production partners from 21 Arab countries.

The Jordanian delegation will be headed by Minister of Transport and Minister of Labor Nidal Al-Qatamin. The conference is being held under the patronage of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and will bring together labor ministers, heads of delegations, representatives of employers and workers, as well as representatives of Arab, regional and international organizations and unions.
The conference will address key issues related to the future of work and development in the Arab region, particularly sustainable economic growth, inclusive and equitable social development, and the impact of climate change on the workplace. Discussions will also focus on strengthening occupational safety and health and adapting to climate-related risks.
Participants will also examine the prospects for startups amid the digital transformation and their role in promoting entrepreneurship and creating new job opportunities.
The conference will further address skills development and alignment with labor market needs, as well as employment promotion and efforts to combat unemployment, supporting the development of Arab labor policies capable of keeping pace with economic, technological and social transformations.
