Akeed: 25 August rumors debunked, majority local social media origin

AMMAN — The Jordanian Media Credibility Monitor (Akeed) identified 25 rumors circulating in August via local media, social platforms, and apps. In its recent report, Akeed highlighted debunking 25 rumors, a rise from July's 19, the Jordan News Agency, Petra reported. Public affairs rumors led at 28 percent, health at 20 percent, economic/political at 16 percent, security at 12 percent, and social at 8 percent. Of August's rumors, 92 percent (23) originated locally from sources like social media and news sites. Among these, 56 percent (14) were from local social media and 44 percent (11) from traditional media outlets.اضافة اعلان
