Dr. Kharabsheh emphasized that the visit comes as part of the ministry’s ongoing oversight to ensure the readiness of the national power system and to review the operational plans implemented at the plant.

He praised the efforts of the management and staff of Samra Electric Power Company, thanking them for their high level of readiness to meet consumer demand during peak periods.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry, the minister was received by the company's Vice Chairman of the Board, Eng. Abdel Fattah Al-Dardakeh, the General Manager Eng. Sami Zuwatin, and several members of the senior management.

The minister received a detailed briefing from Eng. Zuwatin on the station’s operational preparedness and its ability to supply electricity with maximum efficiency and reliability, especially following comprehensive maintenance completed earlier this year. Zuwatin highlighted efforts made by the company to improve efficiency, noting that the plant contributes 270 megawatts to the grid and is operated by qualified and trained personnel.

Dr. Kharabsheh was accompanied by Dr. Sufian Al-Batayneh, Director General of the National Electric Power Company, and other officials during his tour of the control and monitoring center responsible for the plant's operation and management.

Eng. Mohammad Al-Shayyab, Director of the Rihab Power Plant, presented the plant’s operational procedures, especially during periods of natural gas interruptions when the facility is run on diesel fuel. He also reviewed emergency preparedness measures adopted by the station to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply during critical times.
