Agency says gov’t will start recruiting soon

AMMAN — Spokesperson of the Civil Service Bureau Khalid Gharaibeh on Sunday said appointments in the government sector are expected to return soon, particularly when a Royal decree endorses the official list of vacancies in government departments, according to local media outlets.اضافة اعلان

The official added that appointments were called off in 2020, due to the impact of the pandemic, but “we hope that the labor sector would recover soon.”

Official statistics put the unemployment rate at more than 24 percent, while the World Bank said in a report Saturday that the rate exceeds 50 percent among young job seekers.
