The Coordination and Communication Office of the Ministry’s Media Department responded to inquiries from Syria TV, stating that any reports about a security agreement between Syria and Israel are “false.”

Earlier reports, citing “high-level Syrian sources,” claimed that Syria and Israel would sign a U.S.-brokered security agreement on September 25.

Syrian Foreign Minister Assad Al-Sheibani met an Israeli delegation in Paris on Tuesday “to discuss several files related to enhancing stability in the region and southern Syria,” according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

The official agency reported that discussions focused on “de-escalation, non-interference in Syria’s internal affairs, reaching understandings to support regional stability, and monitoring the ceasefire in Sweida Governorate (southern Syria).”
