AND seizes 200,000 narcotic pills, arrests smuggler in Northern Badia

AMMAN — The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) seized 200,000 narcotic pills that were in the possession of a drug smuggler in the Northern Badia region and arrested him on Wednesday, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

 In a statement, a media spokesperson of the Public Security Directorate said that an AND investigation team had been tracking a drug smuggling and trafficking suspect for months.

 

 After following intelligence efforts, the suspect was arrested, the spokesperson said.

 

 He added that 200,000 narcotic pills were seized from an unpopulated desert area where they were hidden in rocky terrain.
