Although design studies have been completed, some challenges remain—such as delays in financial commitment documents and land zoning adjustments.
Maharmeh emphasized that these projects align with the ministry's broader efforts to support sustainable development and improve the quality of life in Tafilah through the enhancement of healthcare, education, cultural, and recreational infrastructure.
Ongoing Central Projects
Improving the Tafila–Karak Road, from Abu Al-Banna to the security checkpoint, 17 km in length, with a budget of 1.9 million dinars, set to begin within weeks and expected to take 6 months.
Maintenance work on the Royal Highway from Dlagha checkpoint to Ras Al-Naqab in Ma'an Governorate has been tendered and awarded for 370,000 dinars.
