The operation resulted in the death of three smugglers, injury to others, and confiscation of substantial drug quantities, promptly handed over to authorities.

The source added that during the stand-off with the smugglers and enforcement of rules of engagement, a member of the Jordanian border guard forces sustained critical injuries.
