AMMAN — The delegation of the first national basketball team,
the Jordan Falcons, arrived in Amman from the UAE late Monday, after the end of
their participation in the Arab Basketball Championship due to four consecutive
losses.
The players, Sami Bzai and Jordan Al-Dasuqi, remained with
the director of the national team, Muhammad Al-Dabbas, in Dubai, due to their infection
with COVID-19.
It is expected that the national team will start their
training on Wednesday, as part of the their preparations for their matches
against Lebanon and Indonesia which will take place on 7pm on February 24 and
27 at Prince Hamzah Hall in Al-Hussein Youth City, as part of the second stage
of the Asian qualifiers for the 2023 World Cup finals.
