Saudi Pro League champions Al Nassr have signed Portuguese international midfielder Samu Costa on a four-year contract, the club announced Tuesday.

“Al Nassr Club Company has officially signed a contract with Portugal national team star, captain Samu Costa, on a four-year deal. We wish him success with the Global One,” the club said on its Instagram account.
Al Nassr subsequently published photos of the 25-year-old wearing the club’s jersey, followed by a video showing his compatriot and fellow star João Félix welcoming him, as well as newly appointed Australian coach Ange Postecoglou greeting the player during team training.
Al Nassr did not disclose the transfer fee, but specialized website Transfermarkt estimated the deal at €22 million.
Costa joins fellow Portuguese players João Félix and veteran star Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr after spending the period from 2023 until last season with Spanish side Mallorca.
He made 100 La Liga appearances and 108 appearances across all competitions for the club.
Costa moved to Spain in 2020 after leaving Braga. He spent two seasons in Spain’s second division before playing another season in the top flight and subsequently joining Mallorca.
The defensive midfielder has made seven appearances for Portugal and was included in the country’s 26-man squad for the 2026 World Cup, where Ronaldo and his teammates were eliminated in the round of 16.
