US imposes 500 new sanctions against Russia, following Navalny’s death

WASHINGTON —  On Friday, the US announced more than 500 new sanctions against Russian individuals and entities, following the recent death of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny.اضافة اعلان

According to US President Joe Biden in a statement on Thursday, “These sanctions will target individuals connected to Navalny’s imprisonment as well as Russia’s financial sector, defense industrial base, procurement networks and sanctions evaders across multiple continents,” Al-Mamlaka TV reported.

Saturday marks two years since the start of the Russian-Ukraine war.
