Brazilian president doubles down on Gaza war remarks

BRASILIA — Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva reiterated his accusation against Israel of committing genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip,  Al-Mamlaka TV reported.اضافة اعلان

After sparking a diplomatic dispute by comparing the war on Gaza to the ‘Jewish Holocaust,’ Lula stressed during an event in Rio de Janeiro, "What Israel is doing is not a war, it is genocide, because they are killing women and children."

Consistently reaffirming his position, Lula frequently emphasized the term ‘genocide’. He expressed that Israel’s war constitutes genocide, adding that thousands of children have been killed, with thousands more missing.

“It's not soldiers who are dying, but women and children in hospitals. If this is not genocide, then I don't know what genocide is!”
